Quick Pesto
Pesto is rather easy to make and less expensive than buying in the store.
Ingredients: Instructions:
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves 1. Remove stem from basil leaves.
(no stems) 2. Combine stemless basil leaves, nuts, and
- 2 Tbs pine nuts or walnuts garlic in food processor or blender until
- 2 large garlic cloves finely grounded.
- ½ cup olive oil 3. Add oil to the mixture until creamy.
- ½ cup grated parmesan 4. Pour mixture into bowl for storage.

Pesto Pizza
Everyone loves pizza! Try this delicious option with a side salad or veggies.
Ingredients: Instructions:
- 1 pillsbury pizza crust 1. Roll out crust on to greased baking sheet.
- 2 Tbs pesto 2. Sautee vegetables (except spinach) in 1
- 3 Tbs oil of choice Tbsp oil until soft.
- 5 mushrooms, chopped 3. Microwave pesto and remaining 2 Tbsp oil
- ½ red or green pepper, until melted.
