hair above shoulder length has to be neatly tied. For men,
hair should be trimmed short and neatly set using hair gel
2. Body language. When the guest is approaching the front
desk, the front office staff should be ready to welcome the
guest. He/she stands straight with head up, put his/her
warm smile, show confidence and take pride in the job.
3. Establish eye contact. One of the first (and arguably
most important) practices in greeting guests is
establishing eye contact. This form of non-verbal
communication helps the guest feel recognized. When the
front office staff is still tied up on the phone or engaged
in other activities, he should still provide eye contact to
the guests. He/she should simply look in the eyes of the
guests and signal to them that he/she sees them and will
be right with them. The front desk agent should make sure
to look them in the eye when he/she engages with guests
