because our brains do not get enough oxygen. But if you force
yourself to study immediately after meals, then the blood will flow
towards the brain and not towards the stomach where it is needed.
Your stomach will start aching, the digestion process will get
affected, your blood will not be able to absorb essential nutrients and
elements from food, and you will feel less energetic. This is why you
should not study, or get involved in any physical activities such as
running immediately after having a meal, because the blood will be
directed towards your brain, arms and legs and not your stomach,
where it is needed.
You should start studying about half an hour to 45 minutes after
having your meal. This is when you should put in your most sincere
efforts in studying because your mind is fresh and energetic in the
morning. The mind is usually calm in the morning, it is not crowded
with a lot of thoughts, and you should take full advantage of this. If
you have a study session of about three hours then you will have a
satisfactory feeling which will encourage you more in the rest of the
day; you will not feel stressed, you will remain satisfied and you will
have more focus and energy towards your studies. But if you end up
wasting your time in the morning then you will be under pressure for
the rest of the day, and you will also be stressed.
You should always study fresh topics in the morning—there should
neither be any sort of revision nor should you watch any videos to
brush up what you have read before. You must study only from
books in the morning. You can study in three shifts- 45 minutes
each- till 1 PM in the afternoon. Do not use your mobile phones,
laptops and other electronic gadgets during this core study time.
Your lunch should be less than what you eat during breakfast. After
lunch, take some rest. Keep your mind empty and lie down. If you
want you can take a small nap. After this you must study for two
separate shifts of one hour each. During these shifts you can either
study online, or do some revision. You should also keep a bottle of
water near you. At around 4:30pm or let’s say, 5 in the evening you
can take a small break and have light snacks or some juice.
