then we start thinking that the entire world is suffering from this as
well. This becomes our mental state. We never try to get out of it,
and gradually this mental illness starts consuming our awareness

and wreaks havoc in our normal lives. It becomes extremely difficult
for us to get out of it.

Some people don’t even remember that they also had a happy life.
Some people are so depressed that they don’t know what it is to live
happily, they don’t even remember the last time when they laughed
heartily. They do not even laugh when they are watching any
comedy show or when someone cracks a joke. They try to settle in

their life with this thought that life is going to be like this and they
have to accept this disorder and be comfortable with it. For these
people laughter becomes something abnormal. They start thinking
that laughter is a disorder and they should never laugh. And if they
do laugh they feel that they are doing something very different; but at

the same time being anxious and worried about something appears
very normal to them. There are some people who force depression
and sadness upon themselves. They decide within themselves that
they will be happy only when they achieve something or become like
someone. Some people practice being sad and slowly they turn
                sadness into a habit.
When being sad and anxious about something becomes a habit, you

grieve all the time for no reason.

We can find the cure to depression if we are able to identify the signs
and symptoms at an early stage. What kind of thoughts appear in a
depressed person’s mind? Many a time it is about grief, emptiness,
lack of confidence, uncertainty, fear, having no value of oneself and

even hating one’s own self. When we do not respect ourselves, it
becomes difficult for us to face the world. We do not even feel like
getting out of the house. And even if we go out somewhere we are
always afraid of the prospect of running into somebody who knows
us or can recognize us. Depression makes us a stranger to the
entire world. We become an outsider in our own house. We keep on
trying to distance ourselves from the world. We spend sleepless

nights. We slide down the black hole of depression and desperately
