Abstract
Academic research is a systematic process designed to answer specific questions through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of
data. It involves a clear hypothesis, conducting a literature review and establishing a detailed methodological plan. The goals of
academic research are to generate new knowledge, solve practical problems, contribute to social and scientific advancement, and
enhance the analytical skills of the authors. In the context of writing a undergraduate or graduate thesis, drafting a well-structured
research protocol is essential for ensuring effective organization, expedite approval, and successful project execution. The process of
writing a research protocol does not follow the sequence outlined in its index. A protocol should include the following sections: abstract,
introduction, problem statement, methods or research design, expected results, timeline, and references. Achieving clarity, coherence,
and conciseness throughout the protocol are crucial to its success.
Keywords: Academic writing, methodology, problem statement, research plan, theoretical framework.
