EMAIL & INTERNET
All mass emails (15 or more recipients) must be sent by JPLI’s Marketing
department.
All commercial electronic messages must be compliant with Canada’s Anti‐Spam
Legislation. This means that emails that are intended to promote business and/or
generate sales must only be sent to: (a) Customers who JPLI is currently doing
business with or have done business with in the last 2 years or (b) Recipients to
whom the content is both relevant and who have a published email address.
You may not produce, retrieve or distribute any correspondence or content that is
potentially defamatory, illegal, libelous, obscene, inflammatory or harassing.
Users understand that they do not have a right to privacy with material that he or
she creates, receives, downloads or sends through any JPLI information system,
computer or networking resource and that it may be subject to monitoring and
review by JPLI.
Out‐of‐office notifications will be used when team members will be away from
their desk and/or unable to respond to emails for a period greater than 4 business
hours.
Personal online activities and social networking are not permitted.
Circulation of unprofessional emails, sexually explicit content, emails that violate Jim
Peplinski Leasing’s harassment or sexual harassment policies or emails that do not
adhere to Jim Peplinski Leasing values are strictly prohibited.
When using the corporate network, no user has any right to privacy in any of the
material he or she creates, receives, downloads or sends through any information
systems or computer or networking resources. All electronic files, electronic
content, email and other electronic communication using company systems may be
subject to monitoring and review by the Company, notwithstanding any passwords,
encryption technology or other efforts to maintain the privacy of the information or
communications.
TELEPHONE
Telephones are provided to team members to conduct company business. You are
encouraged to conduct personal telephone business during your lunch hour and/or
your breaks. Team members may be required to reimburse Jim Peplinski Leasing for any
charges resulting from their personal use of the telephone. The company telephone is
