2. An employee may be granted extra ordinary leave for the period
not exceeding Three years for higher education or on account of
prolonged illness.
3. No pay and allowances are admissible during the period of extra
ordinary leave and the period spent on such leave shall not
count for increment and also for qualifying service for the
purposes of seniority, promotions as seniority, payment of
gratuity or other benefits.
(G) Encashment of Earned Leave
All the regular employees of the society are eligible for
encashment of earned leave not exceeding 240 (Two Hundred and
Forty) days at their credit at the time of retirement or death.
(H) Commuted Leave:
Half pay leave shall be allowed to all the regular employees of
the Society as admissible to the employees of the State
Government.
An employee availing leave on medical grounds shall produce a
medical certificate of fitness, before he/she rejoins duty.
(I) Special Casual Leave to Women employees:
A woman employee shall be eligible for Special casual leave to the
extent of not more than 5 days in a calendar year. Unavailed Special
casual leave shall lapse at the end of the calendar year.
(J) Surrender Leave:
An employee of the Society will be permitted to surrender his/her
Earned Leave and encash the same on the following terms and
conditions:
1. An employee is permitted to encash Earned Leave for a
minimum period of 15 days by surrendering Earned Leave
provided an employee shall ensure that he/she has a
minimum of 30 days of Earned Leave to his/her credit after
such surrender of Earned Leave for encashment.
2. An employee will be eligible to get leave salary for
surrendered and encashed leave at the rate of pay and all
other allowances but excluding Special Allowances,
