the preceding 30th June. For calculating the salary in lieu of
leave, the rate of pay drawn in the month of June last shall
apply.
(C) Medical Leave
During entire period of service, an employee is eligible for
medical leave on Medical certificate for 15 (Fifteen) days for each
years of duty subject to the ceiling limit of 240 days during the
employee’s entire period of service. The Medical Certificate should
be from a Government Doctor not below the rank of Civil Asst.
Surgeon.
The employee shall be eligible for Medical Leave on half
pay which can be commuted to 2 days for full salary.
(D) Maternity Leave:
i. Maternity leave on full pay and allowances at the rates of such pay
and allowances of the preceding month may be granted to a female
employee for a total period not exceeding six months during the
entire period of an employees' service subject to maximum of three
months for one delivery including miscarriage/abortion.
ii. Maternity Leave may be combined with leave of any other kind, if
due and admissible under the applicable rules.
iii. Grant of maternity leave is subject to production of necessary
medical evidence.
(E) Paternity Leave:
Paternity Leave on full pay and allowances at the rates of such pay
and allowances of the preceding month may be granted to a male
employee for a period not exceeding 14 days during the entire
period of an employee’s service subject to maximum of 7 days for
each delivery of his spouse.
(F) Extra Ordinary Leave:
1. When no leave is available at the credit of an employee, he / she
may be granted extra ordinary leave without pay not exceeding
12 (Twelve) months during entire service.
