               Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)

               The Financial Accounting Standards Board is a private, non-profit organization whose
               primary purpose is to establish and improve generally accepted accounting principles within
               the United States in the public's interest.

               Financial Data Warehouse (FDW)

               A robust infrastructure that allows for detailed analysis and reporting of corporate, strategic
               business unit and project-based financial data.  A database of information extracted from
               Oracle, Hyperion planning and the data relationship management applications; data is
               extracted from the various systems, balanced, scrubbed, and converted into a standardized,
               readily accessible format; data is pushed from the financial data warehouse to the Hyperion
               Cubes.

               Financial Information Governance (FIG)

               Document collected from all personnel listed on the 1572 which delineates if any money
               has been paid to the investigators participating in a clinical trial so that any potential bias
               may be assessed.


               Financial Self-Service Reporting (FSSR)

               Also known as OBIEE. Financial Self-Service Reporting dashboard. Web-based tool to view,
               by cost center, Oracle actual transactions and Hyperion forecast / AOP balances.

               First Patient In (FPI)

               Date on which first patient is enrolled to a trial

               Fixed Assets (FA)


               Assets that are purchased for long-term use and are not likely to be converted quickly into
               cash, such as land, buildings, and equipment.

               Flexforce

               A Biogen managed program that helps U.S. managers identify and engage Non-Employees.

               Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

               An arrangement requested by an employee and approved by a manager to alter how and
               where an employee works, either by hours and/or location. It is a mutually beneficial
