US agency responsible for regulating and supervising the safety of foods, medical products
and devices
Forecast
Revised spending plan for the remaining months of the year; usually updated quarterly.
Free Cash Flow (FCF)
A non-GAAP measure of the amount of cash that a company has left over after it has paid all
of its operating expenses, including capital investments. It is considered to be a good
indicator of a company's financial health.
Full-Time Employee (FTE)
Employee who works at least 40 hours a week.
Functional Currency
The currency of your business unit; functional currency follows the set of books. Currency of
the primary economic environment in which that entity operates, each set of books has only
one functional currency.
Functional Service Provider (FSP)
External company/organization hired by Biogen to perform a specific job function or fulfill a
specific purpose.
