learners with opportunities for socialization and collaboration. Learners will have access to state-of-the
art SAT preparation, college and career guidance counseling, and assistance with community-based
internships and practicums.

The Orbis Learner Community will provide opportunities for
learner engagement beyond academic programs. Activities and
programs will be designed around the common interests and
goals of the learners, including but not limited to social events,
clubs, and co-curricular activities. Likewise, learning opportunities
will be made available for learners through internships,
practicums, travel programs, and academic competitions. More

traditional yet appropriate activities and ceremonies, such as a graduation commencement, will be
integrated into the community schedule.

The blended-learning environment within the community will necessitate the recruitment of highly
motivated and expertly trained educators and staff. The quality and ongoing training of the OLC
professionals will be a distinguishing feature for the community.

Learners

To provide a high-quality virtual academic program, the Orbis Learner Community will partner with
virtual academic delivery platforms that provide a fully accredited program of studies. Learners will
choose from a wide variety of core and elective courses to fulfil graduation requirements and to explore
their specific areas of interest. Each learner will have an
academic program specifically designed to meet his or her
needs and interests.

Learners who enroll in the Orbis Learner Community will do
so for a variety of reasons. OLC will provide an outstanding
alternative to the best traditional school programs for
learners who have a need for special learning environments

to accommodate learning styles or challenges, are training
intensively in athletics or performing arts, or have other needs for flexibility in an academic schedule.
Although the OLC will provide many socialization and collaboration opportunities, due to size and
community structure, there will be limitations on which traditional co-curricular opportunities can be
offered.
