WISDOM AND SOUND ADVICE FROM THE TORAH






                 I... will pro claim what the Lord has done... This is the gate of the
                 Lord through which the right eous may en ter... I will give You
                 thanks, for You an swered me; You have be come my sal va tion...
                 The Lord has done this, and it is mar vel ous in our eyes. This is
                 the day the Lord has made; let us re joice and be glad in it. O Lord,
                 save us; O Lord, grant us suc cess. Blessed is he who comes in the
                 name of the Lord... The Lord is God, and He has made His light
                 shine up on us... You are my God, and I will give You thanks; You

                 are my God, and I will ex alt You. Give thanks to the Lord, for He
                 is good; His love en dures for ev er. (Psalms, 118:1-29)

                 Blessed are they whose ways are blame less, who walk ac cord ing
                 to the law of the Lord. Blessed are they who keep his stat utes
                 and seek Him with all their heart. They do noth ing wrong; they

                 walk in His ways. You have laid down pre cepts that are to be ful -
                 ly obeyed. Oh, that my ways were stead fast in obey ing Your de -
                 crees! Then I would not be put to shame when I con sid er all Your
                 com mands. I will praise You with an up right heart as I learn Your
                 right eous laws. I will obey Your de crees; do not ut ter ly for sake
                 me. How can a young man keep his way pure? By liv ing ac cord -
                 ing to Your word. I seek You with all my heart; do not let me stray

                 from Your com mands. I have hid den Your word in my heart that
                 I might not sin against You. Praise be to You, O Lord; teach me
                 Your de crees. With my lips I re count all the laws... I re joice in fol -
                 low ing your stat utes as one re joic es in great rich es. I med i tate on
                 Your pre cepts and con sid er Your ways. I de light in Your de crees;
                 I will not ne glect Your word... Open my eyes that I may see won -
                 der ful things in Your law. I am a stranger on earth; do not hide
                 Your com mands from me [teach me the wisdom]. My soul is con -
                 sumed with long ing for Your laws at all times... Remove from me
