To leave the Historic Dockyard precinct just follow signs that say “Out of Town” or “M275 (M27)”.

1.7 mi 50.8343, -1.0855 merge on to the M27 s/p “M27 (W) / Southampton / Cosham”

17.5 mi 50.9461, -1.5244 At Junction 2 exit on to the A36 s/p “Salisbury A36”.

To visit Beaulieu, the National Motor Museum, and/or to explore the New Forest, take the first exit
from this r/bout and follow the signposts

Otherwise stay on the A36 to Salisbury:

17.5 mi 51.0642,-1.7888 As you come into the city you will see the cathedral spire ahead of
you. From the roundabout (College Roundabout) follow brown and white signs to Old George
Mall.

Expert navigator checkpoint: At the roundabout the Wiltshire College building will be prominent
on your right.

The Old George Mall signs will take you to New St.

As you turn into New St the Cloisters pub is on the corner. There is a shoppers’ carpark about
100 yds along on the r. in New St

51.0673,-1.7976 If you continue along New St and turn l. at the traffic lights a little lane will take
you down to the cathedral precinct. On a quiet day you might get parking in the immediate
cathedral vicinity.

Go underneath the stone gateway. The parking attendant is very helpful and will guide you to a
parking place.

Expert navigator hint: At the left turn from New St look for Prezzo on the right as you make the
turn. You’ll then see the stone gateway ahead of you.
