EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP

              ORIENTATION PERIOD

The Orientation Period consists of the first 90 days of a new hire’s employment with Police FCU. This
period consists of on-going instructional training and guidance within the employee's work
department and Human Resources. Completion of the orientation period in no way alters the At-Will-
Employment status. All new employees will have a 90-day evaluation, and after completing six (6)
continuous months in any job, will be eligible to participate in the next formal 6-month evaluation
              process.

              EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION

All employees are designated as either non-exempt or exempt under state and federal wage and hour
laws. The following is intended to help employees understand employment classifications and how it
affects compensation for hours worked. These classifications do not guarantee employment for any
              specified time.

                  a. Non-Exempt Employees are paid by the hour for actual time worked rather than on a salary
basis and work an average of 40 or more hours per week, year-round. Non-exempt employees
do not meet FLSA exemption tests; therefore, these employees are paid 1.5 times their hourly
wage for actual hours worked more than 40 hours per week.

                  b. Part-Time, Non-Exempt Employees are paid by the hour for actual time worked rather than on
a salary basis and work less than 40 hours per week.

                  c. Exempt Employees whose positions meets specific salary and duties tests established by the
FLSA are exempt from overtime pay requirements. Exempt employees are generally
managers, professionals, administrative, or technical employees who are exempt from the
minimum wage and overtime provisions of the FLSA. Exempt employees hold jobs that meet
the standards and criteria established under the FLSA by the U.S. Department of Labor and
whose positions meet specific salary and duties tests established by the Fair Labor Standards
                     Act.
