                     All Bran Fruit Loaf ~ Davina Freedman


           Our Mum used to call this the ‘poor man’s Bara brith’!

           à     Grease 1 lb loaf tin and line the bottom. Heat oven – reg 4

           Ingredients:
           one cup each of
           All-Bran
           sugar
           mixed fruit
           milk
           self-raising flour

           Method:
           à     soak the All-Bran, sugar, mixed fruit in the milk for an hour,
                 then add the flour gradually
           à     cook at reg 4 for 1½ hrs
           à     cool on rack and serve slices buttered – delicious!
