500 - METALS

Structural Framing

Provide beams, columns, bracing, open web joists and bridging for the floor and roof framing of the office
building portion. Roof deck to be 22 gauge, 1-1/2” deep, galvanized material. and the floor deck to be 28
gauge galvanized V-rib metal pans. All structural framing to be designed by a registered professional
engineer fabricated and erected by an approved, qualified steel fabricator.

Miscellaneous Metals

Stairs and landings (office, two sets of 18 risers x 3.0 ft. wide) to be fabricated using hot
rolled channel stringers with cold formed metal pan treads and risers with steel deck at
landings, all ready to receive concrete finish. Stairs to be complete with standard steel hand-
railing on one side and a wall mounted steel rail on the other side; both prepared for a milled
hardwood topping rail.

Bollards (4) located at jambs of overhead doors, fabricated from 4” diameter x 1/4” wall
steel pipe, concrete filled. Bollards to be placed to a normal frost protected depth and protrude
3.5 ft. above the adjacent finished grade elevation.

Ladder (office interior, second floor to roof) fabricated from hot rolled, flat steel stringers
and rungs (rods). Ladder to be 2.0 ft. wide x 11.5 ft. long.
