Foundations
Provide poured in place reinforced concrete (4000 psi) footings, walls and piers designed to
support the intended loads, reactions and forces from the building structure. Foundation design is
based on the soils report number 040294 prepared by XYZ Geotechnical provided for this
purpose, with a soil bearing allowance of 3000 psf.
Concrete Slabs
Slabs on grade to be poured in place (4000 psi) concrete, reinforced with one layer of 6x6-6/6
welded wire mesh, complete with perimeter expansion joint material, sawcuts and mechanical
steel trowel finish. Slab to be thickened as required under masonry load bearing walls.
Office - 4” thick with plain finish.
Plant - 6” thick with 40-pound non-metallic hardener and one coat of clear sealer.
Slab on deck to be poured in place (4000 psi) concrete with one layer of 6x6-8/8 welded wire
mesh, complete with perimeter edge angle and mechanical steel trowel finish.
Second Floor/stairs, landings - 2-1/2” thick with plain finish.
General Notes:
� Reinforcing steel to be intermediate grade ksi
� Expansion joint material to be 1/2” thick premoulded
� All concrete work to be designed by a registered professional engineer.
� Set building column anchor bolts as per layout and within standard tolerances.
