700 - MOISTURE PROTECTION

Foundation Insulation

Provide 2” thick rigid insulation (R 5.0 per inch) to a depth of 2.0 ft. below finished grade to
inside face of the entire building foundation exterior.

Wall Insulation

Office building exterior walls to be insulated with 6” of fiberglass friction-fit batt type
insulation (R-20) complete with 6 mil polyethylene vapor barrier

Plant building exterior walls to be insulated with 6” of fiberglass blanket type insulation
(R-20) complete with an integral reinforced vinyl vapor barrier facing. Lower portion of
exterior walls with architectural block to be insulated with 6” of fiberglass friction-fit batt
type insulation (R-20) complete with 6 mil polyethylene vapor barrier.

Roof Insulation

Office building to be insulated with 4” of rigid roof insulation (R-20).

Plant building to be insulated with 6” of fiberglass blanket type insulation (R-20)
complete with an integral, reinforced vinyl vapor barrier facing.

Sound Insulation

Provide 4” and/or 6” thick friction-fit batt-type sound attenuation insulation to all partition
stud walls of private offices, washrooms and demising wall between office and plant.
