BEYOND BASICS

Body Shifting is necessary to help eliminate telegraphing when
transitioning out of a neutral position. To understand Body Shifting,
imagine a partner holding the knot of your belt and pulling or
pushing it to move your center over one leg. The movement of
your belt travels in a straight line.
To transition into the Three Weapons position, simply shift the
body forward or back until 100% of the weight is balanced on one
leg. Move only the center over the leg without leaning. This is the
           Three Weapons position.

…regardless of the stance the technique
                                      is always the same

Whether moving forward or back, every step should be a weight
shift into another three-weapon position. Again, when not in a
neutral position, be in a position to have Three Weapons available.

This is also applicable before and after setting a solid stance when
delivering a strike. Immediately shift out to regain a Three
Weapons position. An “anchored” position won’t allow mobility
and flow so a “solid” stance should last only as long as it’s needed
           for the strike.

The Three Weapon concept also works extremely well for Self
           Defense training.

Delivery Systems is another concept developed through Forms
training and the Anatomy of a Punch concept. It was the discovery
that any specific strike, kick, or block to be consistently effective,
it must be executed the same way every time! Which meant that
distance was a critical factor. Too far and the technique would be
overextended. Too Close and it would be jammed. Either condition
