2. Conversion of units
The learners worked on measure, understood the significance of standard units of metric measure.
They admired and appreciated the usage of non-standard units in daily life activities. They
practiced the conversion of units from smaller units to higher units and vice versa.
Science
LO: Investigate that light travels in a straight-line path and shadow is formed when light is
blocked by an opaque object.
The students stimulated their learning by engaging in an activity whereby they demonstrated the
rectilinear path of light and the formation of shadow. Through this scientific enquiry, the
students became thorough with the concept.
Social
LO: Define parallels and meridians, Identify the major parallels and meridians on the globe,
Describe the major features of parallels and meridians.
Introduction to parallels and meridians was done with the help of a PPT, Atlas and a globe.
Students also played treasure hunt game to enhance their knowledge on latitudes and longitudes
ICT
Learners created an animation (Powtoon) with script, voice over, adding visuals and characters.
Learners could also describe the evolution of computers and different calculating devices used in
different generations.
