Section 17: SISTERLY RELATIONS COMMITTEE - The
Sisterly Relations Committee shall consist of a Chairman and
Co- Chairman and shall include the Membership Chairman
and members of the chapter as appointed by the Basileus. It
shall be the duty of this committee to develop and provide
support in the execution of the chapter's sisterly relations
program. The committee shall play a major role in
strengthening and continuing the sorority's commitment to
sisterhood by developing programs that reinforce the core
values of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Section18: CONNECTION COMMITTEE – This
committee shall be composed of a Chairman and Co-
Chairman and other members appointed by the Basileus. The
committee shall identify local issues which impact upon the
quality of life; design strategies for communications with the
membership regarding issues and mobilize the membership
for action to formulate and recommend position statements to
the Basileus.

Section 19: BUILDING AND PROPERTIES
COMMITTEE – This
committee shall consist of a Chairman and five (5) other
members; one of whom shall be a member of the Finance
Committee. It shall be the responsibility of this committee to
oversee chapter fund- raisers in support of Alpha Kappa
Alpha’s International Headquarters building and properties.
The committee shall make recommendations to the Chapter
for upkeep and improvement of any future building and
properties acquired by the Chapter.

Section 20: ARCHIVES COMMITTEE – This committee
shall consist of at least five (5) members appointed by the
Basileus. It shall be the duty of this committee to serve as
custodian of the chapter’s print and non-print materials housed
on the campus of Alabama A&M University. It shall also be
the duty of the committee to collect materials and implement
procedures for their use by members and non-members.
