NEW AGENT
TRAINING (NAT)
Purpose
The two-day New Agent Training is part of their onboarding process to
learn about the Organization and basic insurance knowledge that will
be used in their role
Applicability
All new-hire agents and rehire agents who have been gone from the
Company for more than 90 days
Agents who are rehired after being gone from the Company between 91
days and six months, have the opportunity to take an Opt-out exam to be
exempt from New Agent Training (NAT)
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for New Agent Training
Responsibilities
New Agent Training Facilitator has primary responsibility for this
course
HR Operations Partners send hiring notices to L&D to identify the
license status of new-hire agents
Procedure:
In this training, agents are provided with an overview of the Company’s history,
its Leadership team, and what behavior is expected of them when joining the
organization. Agents are guided through A-MAX University, the main source of
training and professional development for all employees, and Workplace, the
organization’s social networking platform. Agents are trained on basic auto
insurance terminology and characteristics and then tested on their knowledge.
This is to ensure all agents are knowledgeable and able to meet customer needs
when they begin selling insurance.
