to learn. Those times really don’t matter as most of your learning will be self-
managed and self-paced. There is no pressure to complete this workbook as
fast as you can as long as you do complete it and/or you can meet the stated
objectives in each section.
The learning element has been structured in conjunction with other members of
the team to get you to the level you need going forward. I don’t know of anyone
who was overjoyed to be giving up some free time for a learning task but this is
what you are being asked to do.
Assumptions
It is assumed that you have basic computer skills and that you are familiar with
terms such as website, operating system (OS), browser, cloud and so on. It is
also assumed that you are able to operate your own computing device whether
it be Windows, Apple, or Linux and that you can perform functions such as copy
and paste, upload, and insert.
Feedback on Training and Migration
You will be asked to provide feedback twice during the training and migration
process. The first time will be after completing Part 1 of this workbook and
relates to the materials provided and your feelings about how prepared you are
to proceed to the next step. The second will be once you have successfully
migrated your site, and you are back to business as usual and will ask you to
review the entire process from start to finish.
Navigating this Workbook
This workbook was created using MS Word but has been saved as a PDF. Word
headings were used to create the Table of Contents (TOC), as you can see
below, and when the file was saved as a PDF those headings were saved to
create an interactive navigation tool (bookmarks) for you.
During workbook testing it has become apparent that not everyone is aware that
such bookmarks exist. The method of accessing the bookmarks side bar varies
according to the device you are using. The most common device methods can
be found in Appendix C with screenshots if you need guidance on how to do this.
If your device is not shown there then please refer to your own documentation.
