A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR DEGANWY ROWERS
It’s been an amazing year – entering many events starting with the Montford Bridge Challenge, an epic ‘8 mile against current’ time trial, followed by various Northern League races throughout the season against other Welsh Rowing Clubs.
A highlight has to be the London Great River Race, racing 22 miles up the River Thames against over 200 other
boats - an amazing event which we stormed with one of the fastest Celtic Long Boat times. But it’s not all about racing. We regularly go out on general, leisurely local rows with crews of all ages and abilities, plus ‘adventure rows’ going that bit further up the estuary, or round the Great Orme to Llandudno or even taking the boats over to Anglesey.
