The Cabin

My family takes a road trip to Colorado every year. We always stay in a cabin in the woods.

It is always very hot and warm there, but there are a whole lot of trees. My family would stay up

late in the cabin playing games. The cabins were very big and had a lot of rooms to play hide and

seek. It felt like we were in a hotel because it had a lot of space.

I was about 25 years old when I went with my family for the first time. I felt like I was

still young but not young at the same time. I had kids who didn’t make me feel old because they

were not having me play as much as they were just playing together. The vacation was

AMAZING because I had a lot of fun. I never had a moment when I was bored. I didn’t have to

keep the kids entertained. They kept each other entertained. My family takes this trip every year

to honor my grandma. She started taking us to cabins in Colorado every year when we were

young. Since she passed, I take my family out to Colorado to keep the tradition and make new

memories.
