86 The Unforgettable Moments in Life

Springdale

Springdale is a mostly boring place where

there are no big buildings and a lot of fields. It is a big

version of a town. The population in 2021 was 87,609.

There is a big bike trail all around the city. Back in 2019 when I was in 5th grade, I was in a

school close to the trail. The school decided to ride bikes and stop at a little park.The school had

bikes with gears, but I decided to ride my bike which didn't have gear. I would regret it. I

remember struggling to go up hills, while I saw people pass me going in a straight line. They

would also go flying past me. I was one of the last people besides the teacher. The day was

perfect for biking. The sky was bright blue and the grass was bright neon green. I remember how

my friends and I would race. They had cool school bikes with gears that would leave me in the

dust. At the park, we would eat snacks and look at the little river.

Another activity I did with the same school was going to a zoo. We looked around and

they let us go and pet the goats. At first, lots of students were scared, but after seeing that the

goats were friendly, they decided to pet the goats. Another animal we got to interact with was the

giraffe. We were able to feed it some fruits and vegetables. I was too afraid to feed it, so I

watched the other students do it. About three years later, I got to go to the same zoo but with my

family. We weren't able to pet or feed the animals, but we were able to ride in a car to see other

parts of the zoo. I was able to see rhinos but the rhinos were in a cage. I also saw lions and tigers

which were probably my favorite part of the visit.
