90 The Unforgettable Moments in Life

A Change in my Life

At the age of thirteen I moved to Rogers, Arkansas. I used to live in a place called Forest

City, Arkansas. Forest City was a lot different than Rogers. It was a really small town with not

that much diversity. In Forrest City, there were lots of cotton fields and poverty. I had a small

house where I lived with my family, and we would always spend time together.

Forest City is close to the Mississippi River, so it would always rain a lot, and it was

always very humid. When I got back home from school one day, my mother told me we were

moving to Rogers, Arkansas. At that moment I felt different emotions all at once. I was anxious,

upset, and most of all scared. I would give up my friends, my basketball team, and most of all the

place I loved growing up in.
