Interviewing My Dad
By Jasmine S.
My dad was about 14 when he lived in
California. He was 5.9 with light skin and curly hair
and a track star. He also played basketball. One day
my dad was walking to school and some teen boys
were messing with his girlfriend. He asked them to
leave his girl alone. They did not listen, so he went to
a teacher for help with an old white lady that was his favorite teacher. He snitched on the teen
boys and they got told to stop.
At the end of the day, the boys tried to jump my dad and he took off running. He was
scared, so he tried not to go back to school because he didn’t want to get kicked out of sports.
He went to his dad and told him about what had happened at school. He asked him why he was
scared and my dad told him he didn’t want to fight at school and he didn’t want to be kicked off
the sport’s team.
My dad ended up going to school the next day and talking to his friends. He asked them
to do him a favor. They asked him what the favor was and he asked
them if they could fight a group of boys for him. His friends were
like who is it and my dad told them who it was and his friends
asked if he was going to help them, but he didn’t want to.
A couple of weeks went by and they became friends with my
dad. To make a long story short, they were trying to set him up, and my dad did not know it
