Introduction/Warm Up Aerobic warm up of large muscle groups and
cardiovascular system -
This unit will focus on the following: Definitions (from dictionary.com) Equipment: Tape, Music, flash Card (if required)
Endurance: the ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or
situation without giving way.
Coordination: Harmonious functioning of muscles or groups of muscles in
the execution of movements.
Learning Activities/Teaching Strategies
1. Set up – Teacher will put the setup in the classroom. Teacher will put
the tape on the floor
2. Teacher will make students stand in teams maintaining discipline.
3. Teacher will start the class with the warm up Happy Feet.
4. Teacher will introduce and explain the activity to the class.
5. Teacher will play a music on his/her phone.
6. Students will start showing their signature steps as they hear the music.
7. Teacher will stop the music after few second or minute as required.
8. As the music stops and teacher shout FREEZ E on this the students will
stop dancing.
9. On teacher FREEZE everyone will stop and will freeze themselves in a Assessment Ideas: A – Student's ability to maintain personal space
freeze position. B – student’s cooperative, respectful, & safe behaviours
10. Student that is found dancing or not freeze is out of the game. C – student’s ability to recall action associated with each term
11. Student who remains or stays last is the winner. D – student’s Increased heart rate can be assessed through students
feeling their pulse quickly during and after the activity.
