Introduction/Warm Up Aerobic warm up of large muscle groups and
cardiovascular system -
This unit will focus on the following: Definitions (from dictionary.com) Equipment: Music
Endurance: the ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or
situation without giving way.
Coordination: Harmonious functioning of muscles or groups of muscles in
the execution of movements.
Learning Activities/Teaching Strategies
1. Set up – Teacher will put the setup in the classroom. Teacher will put a
labeling each 4 corner of classroom with a number..
2. Teacher will make students stand in teams maintaining discipline.
3. Teacher will start the class with the warm up Happy Feet.
4. Teacher will introduce and explain the activity to the class.
5. Teacher will make 1 den stand in the middle of the room, close their
eyes, and count to ten.
6. While “DEN” he/she is counting, have everyone else scramble to the
corner of their choice.
7. When the counting is done, “DEN” will call out a the number or name of
one of the corners — “Corner 2,” for instance. Anyone in that corner
must return to their desk as they are out of the game. Assessment Ideas: A – Student's ability to maintain personal space
8. “DEN” will count, again and your students should continue to scramble B – student’s cooperative, respectful, & safe behaviours
to different corners. C – student’s ability to recall action associated with each term
9. Each time “DEN” calls a new corner, the numbers will dwindle until only D – student’s Increased heart rate can be assessed through students

10. That student that stand last becomes the new “DEN” and everyone can
start over, again.
