GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

                         Board in good time to  allow the connection of  the supply as required by the Main
                         Contractors programme.

                         The Electrical Contractor shall provide attendance on the Electricity Board and arrange for
                         the connection of the new supply.

                         A 400 volt 50 Hz 3 phase supply will be provided by the Electricity Board from their low
                         voltage network, which will terminate in a cut-out and meter chamber within the switch
                         room.
               2.5   MAIN INCOMER


                         Where required the Electrical  Contractor shall fit a Merlin Gerin Safepact 2 enclosed
                         MCCB rated at 400A Ref MGE4003X (3 pole).

                         This unit will act as the main protection for the restaurant and shall be suitably engraved
                         with the circuit number, rating and service description.
                         The Electrical Contractor on completion should adjust the unit to discriminate with the
                         size of the electricity boards Class J fuses.

                         The protection module provided with the switch will have an overload adjustment range
                         between 160-400Amps.

                         Main circuit cables shall be installed between the Electricity Boards cut -out and the main
                         MCCB.

               2.6   MAIN SWITCHGEAR

                         Where required Main L.V. distribution equipment will be supplied and installed by the
                         Electrical Contractor.

                         This will principally comprise loose mounted distribution equipment from the  Acti 9
                         ISOBAR range as manufactured by Schneider Electric Group.
                         All boards shall be equipped with a full complement of MCB’s/RCD’s as necessary to meet
                         the requirements of the store fit-out.

                         These boards shall also comply with BS EN 60439 the specification for low voltage
                         switchgear and control gear assemblies.

                         The main incomer shall comprise a 3 pole main incoming MCCB with adjustable thermal
                         and magnetic trips.

                         Final adjustments of the thermal and magnetic trips will be carried out by the Electrical
                         Contractor to ensure discrimination with the upstream protection device.

                         The  Electrical  Contractor shall connect all external final circuits and control wiring as
                         necessary.
