GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

2 ELECTRICAL SERVICES SPECIFICATION

2.1 SCOPE OF WORKS

The work under this section of the Specification includes for the provision of all parts of
the complete Electrical Services Installation. The services described may be inclusive of
but are not limited to, the following parts: -

a. Main electrical switchgear and sub-main switchgear.
b. Earth bonding.
c. Main, sub-main and final circuit cabling.
d. Lighting, internal and external.
e. General purpose socket outlets.
f. Emergency lighting.
g. Fire alarms.
h. Electrical installation associated with the Mechanical Engineering Services.
i. Electrical installation associated with the kitchen equipment.
j. Electrical power and data cabling installation associated with a computerised till
system.
k. Electrical power and data wiring installation associated with the intercom and CCTV
system.
l. Photovoltaic power generation system
m. External signage, inclusive of but not limited to the following:
i. On the building
ii. In the drive through lane
iii. In the car park generally
iv. Associated with the totem sign
n. Electrical installations associated with vehicle loops
o. Electrical installations associated with the heat recovery system, inclusive of but not
limited to the following:
i. Hot water generation
ii. Pumps
iii. Foul pumps
iv. Water treatment
v. Trace heating

All as described herein.

The whole of the works shall comply with BS 7671, The IET Wiring Regulations,
incorporating the latest amendments, as issued by the Institute of Electrical Engineers.
Where reference is made in the Specification to Tables or Regulations within BS 7671
these will be prefixed by “IET”.
