ROTARY COCHIN HERITAGE

Keeping in mind the importance of clean drinking water the members of Rotary Cochin Heritage
JAN has envisaged on Project “Jaladhara” in Kuttanad, Alleppey through a Global Grant of providing
19 30 R O Plants enabling more than 5000 people to get clean drinking water. Inaugurated 2 of
those during my visit to the Club. We also distributed 8 smart phones to deserving candidates
there. Congrats to President Venugopal, Secretary Indrajith and Team Cochin Heritage for a
fabulous project as Clean Air and Water are essential for a healthy life and it was indeed a great
start to the day. They have been a super active club doing many projects like a joint project with
Cochin North of providing a pacemaker worth $ 5000, School Kits for primary students in 2 Govt.
Schools in Ernakulam & Kottayam.

They have distributed house hold items worth 1.50 lacs to recently flood affected 100 families in
Kottayam. Another unique project was of implementing a radio project to help the students of
Elanthikara School improve their Spoken English and Presentation Skills. This was a joint project
with their Interact Club and have sponsored 25,000/- for this lovely project. Great going Cochin
Heritage !
