c. Management of The Associates Group matters shall be the responsibility of
the Chapter Vice President.

C. Honorary Life Membership

Outstanding and influential mothers who have made meritorious contributions to children and to
the welfare of children shall hold Honorary Life Membership when recommended by the
membership and approved by the National Executive Board.

D. Life Membership

1. Any mother, female legal guardian, or custodial caretaker who has been an Active
Member for at least 10 years, has completed her tenure in Good Standing, and has
reached Associate status may apply for Life Membership. The 10 year service
requirement can be satisfied by either membership as an Active Member in a
chapter for a minimum of 10 years or by membership in a chapter of less than 10
years combined with membership as a Financial Associate Member. See the NCB
for additional information.

2. Life Members may, but are not required to attend Chapter meetings, Regional
conferences, or National conventions.

3. Life Members are not required to assume Chapter obligations and do not have
Chapter voting privileges.

4. Past National presidents shall be entitled to life membership upon completion of
their term of office; this designation allows for waiver of all conference fees,
lodging and travel expenses for future national conferences. A former national
president who remains an Active Member upon completion of her term of office
must meet the Active Member obligations of the Chapter.

5. Life Members are not required to pay Regional or National per capita throughout
their affiliation as a Life Member with the Organization.

6. Jack and Jill National Executive Board members shall receive Life Membership
upon completion of their tenure as a Member in Good Standing.

E. National Members

1. A national member is a member in Good Standing who transfers to an area
where no chapter exists.

2. A member may maintain national membership status for up to five (5)
years.
