ARTICLE VI - Chapter Officers
Section 1: Elected Officers
A. The elected officers of the Chapter shall be:
1. President (required)
2. Vice President (required)
3. Program Director (required)
4. Recording Secretary (required)
5. Corresponding Secretary (required)
6. Treasurer (required)
7. Editor (required)
8. Financial Secretary
9. Historian
B. Term of Office: a term of office shall be two (2) years. Elected officers shall serve no
more than two (2) consecutive terms (4 years) at a time in the same office. However,
after serving in the same office for 2 consecutive terms, an officer may be elected to serve
an additional term in said office after an interval of one term (2 years). Subject to the
foregoing, there is no limit to how many terms a Member may serve on the Executive
Board.
Note: If a Member is appointed to complete the unexpired term an Elected Officer, upon
completion of the unexpired term, the replacement Officer will still be eligible to serve two
(2) consecutive terms (4 years) in the same office. The time served completing the
unexpired term shall not count against the Officer completing said term. Caveat: This rule
does not apply to new Officers that begin completing an unexpired term prior to September

30 of the initial Officer’s first year of service.
C. Elective office voting standard (see “Election of Officers” below).
D. Chapter Elected Officers shall not hold an elected National or Regional Office (as defined
in the NCB) while serving as a Chapter Elected Officer.
E. Elected officers shall perform the duties prescribed in these Bylaws and other duties
applicable to the office as prescribed in the Parliamentary Authority adopted by the
Organization. Failure to do so can result in disciplinary action being taken against the
