4. The election process and procedures shall be managed and outlined by the
Nominating & Elections Committee (Article VII, Section 2 – Standing
Committees) of which the Nominating Committee shall be elected at the December
Mothers’ Meeting. The Nominating Committee shall present candidates for
Chapter Officers at the March Mothers’ Meeting. Nominations may also be made
from the floor. The election shall be held at the April’s Mothers’ Meeting.
5. Officers assume the responsibilities of their office upon installation.
6. Special Elections: If the office of President and Vice President are vacated in the
middle of a term, the Chapter may hold a Special Election to fill the Office of
President. The election may be called upon written notice to the membership by

2/3 members in Good Standing and must be called no less than 30 days before the
selected election date. The call notice must be disseminated to the full Chapter
membership. Except for the election date, the standard eligibility and election rules
will apply to the election process.
K. Resignation from Office
1. An officer who is unable or unwilling to perform the duties of her office shall
submit a written resignation to the Chapter President and/or the Chapter Vice
President. The Chapter President (or the Chapter Vice President if the Chapter
President is resigning) shall (y) present the request to the Executive Board and (z)
begin the process to fill the vacancy pursuant to Article VI, Section 1 - Vacancies.
The Executive Board shall officially accept such resignation in writing within 10
days of the tendered resignation via a letter or email issued by the Chapter
Corresponding Secretary or the Chapter Recording Secretary (if the Chapter
Corresponding Secretary has resigned). The office shall be deemed vacant when
the resignation is accepted by the Chapter Executive Board. The duties of an office
must not be abandoned until a resignation has been accepted, and the vacancy has
been filled.
2. If, due to emergency circumstances, the position (other than Chapter President)
must be abandoned immediately, the Chapter President may appoint a temporary
replacement until the Chapter Executive Board and the Chapter Membership can
fill the vacancy (see below Vacancies: Acting Officers below) through the formal
process pursuant to Article VI, Section 1 - Vacancies.
L. Vacancies
1. When a vacancy occurs in the Chapter President position, the Chapter Vice
President will assume the role as Chapter President.
2. Should a vacancy occur in any other Elective Office the vacancy shall be filled
through an appointment by the Chapter President with the approval of the Chapter’s
Executive Board.
