b. Probation – The probation period and specific conditions of the probation
will be determined by the Chapter. Any Elected Officer who fails to fulfill
the duties of her office may be subject to this disciplinary action upon a vote
of two-thirds (2/3) majority of the votes cast by the Chapter membership
in favor of imposing this disciplinary action. See the NPP: Penalties for
National, Regional or Chapter Elected Officers for additional guidance.
c. Suspension – The suspension period and specific conditions of
suspension as determined by the Chapter. Any Elected Officer who
fails to fulfill the duties of her office may be subject to this disciplinary action
upon a vote of two-thirds (2/3) majority of the votes cast by the Chapter
membership in favor of imposing this disciplinary action. See the NPP:
Penalties for National, Regional or Chapter Elected Officers for
additional guidance.
d. Termination - See the NPP: Penalties for National, Regional or
Chapter Elected Officers for additional guidance. Any Elected Officer who
fails to fulfill the duties of her office may be subject to this disciplinary action
upon a vote of two- thirds (2/3) majority of the votes cast by the Chapter
membership in favor of imposing this disciplinary action. Should the decision
be made to terminate the membership of the Chapter Officer, the process
followed shall be in accordance with the Termination of Membership Policy as
provided in the NPP.
4. Appeal from Disciplinary Action by and Elected Officer: a disciplined officer
may appeal the Chapter’s decision by submitting a written request to appeal the
decision to the Chapter President no later than 7 days after the Chapter’s
vote/decision. If timely submitted, the request shall be granted and the matter
MUST be placed on the next Executive Board and regular meeting agendas. The
original decision may only be reversed or modified upon a vote of 2/3 of the votes

cast by the Chapter membership in favor of reversal or modification. The decision
of the Chapter, whether a formal motion is considered or not, is final, however, the
National grievance process is still available to the disciplined officer if the matter
qualifies for that process.
