Daddy Richards, who is very strong, helped Grandpa to his feet and supported
him to the car door. Grandpa placed his bottom on the seat and Harry lifted his
legs and swung them round inside the car. Grandpa winced with pain but was
pleased to be taken home.
Grandpa lowered the car window and called out to Harry.
“Harry, could you unhitch the trailer and then drive the tractor home. I don’t
like to leave it here because it might get stolen”
“Of course, Grandpa”, replied Harry.
Granny took Grandpa off in the pickup.
“I think that I should take you to A&E for a check up”, said Granny as she
drove.
“Nonsense”, said Grandpa, “take me home, I will be fine. I’m not going
anywhere near the William Harvey hospital because I might catch
Coronavirus!”
It took a whole month for Grandpa to recover from his accident. He was so
thankful to Harry for his quick thinking and to Bells for her care. Things could
have been so much worse if it wasn’t for them.
