once pointing in the right direction put his foot down. The cart screamed away
and almost immediately he was into the next corner and had to brake quickly. He
took a good line, gently asked for more power from the engine and came flying

out of the bend. “Wow” thought Harry. “James has cracked it!”

Harry was really getting a feel for the cart as he piled into corners and exited right
on the edge of the track. He was doing so well that he caught another cart up and
had to decide how to overtake. At the next corner Harry took a line inside the
other cart and passed it as he came out of the corner. An amazing achievement,

thought Harry.

His Daddy and James were watching and they too thought that this couldn’t be
the same Harry who had nervously started going around the track two hours ago.

After his five laps, Harry triumphantly drove into the pit. Jack rushed up to him
to congratulate him on such a brilliant performance. “Reckon you are ready to
race now, Harry”, he said.

Harry, James and their Daddy gave each other a big hug and they all dreamed of
what the future might bring.
