Chapter 13 The Boys go racing Part 2 - Race Day
The next day Harry and James got up early as they were so excited about going
racing. They had a big breakfast and then went out to the car which was still
attached to the trailer with the kart firmly tied down.
They went through a list of checks.
“Fuel?”, asked Harry.
“Yes” replied James.
“Puncture repair kit?
“Yes”
“Tool box?”
“Yes”
“Lunch?”
“Waiting for Mummy to make it”
“Helmet and leathers?”.
“Yes”
“Compressor?”
“Yes”
“Right, we are just about ready then”, said Harry.
Moments later, their Mummy and Daddy appeared with their lunch and snacks
to keep them going.
“Ready for the off, boys?” said Daddy.
“Good luck Harry. I will be thinking of you”, said Mummy. “Good luck
James. Get that kart firing on all cylinders”.
Off they went. It didn’t seem so far this time as they knew where they were
going. Harry was thinking through his driving skills throughout the journey, so
for him, in particular, the journey was over quickly.
On arrival at the circuit, they checked in at the secretary’s tent.
“You will have three races with a gap of about twenty minutes between each”,
