               A-Protection of Cultural Property in War Time



               1-The  Hague  Convention  for  the  Protection  of  Cultural


               Property in the Event of Armed Conflict


               The  Convention  for  the  Protection  of  Cultural  Property  in  the



               Event of Armed Conflict was made at The Hague (Netherlands)



               on  14th  May  1954.  This  Convention  is  the  only  universal  legal



               instrument in this field. The Convention, which came about as a



               consequence to the massive destruction of cultural property in the



               Second  World  War,  reflected,  to  some  extent,  the  cultural



               internationalism  perspective.  It  was  considered  important  to  set



               out clear measures for a system of general and special protection



               of cultural property, and for the first time, the Common Heritage



               of  Mankind  principle  was  proclaimed  in  the  Preamble  of  the
