I am glad to see from paragraph l of your telegram No. 177
that the Ruler la now more disposed io meet members of High
Exeoutlvc Committee if they change their name. I hope you
can encourage this. I agree of course (your telegram 173)
that the Ruler should be advised not to yield to demands for
the dismissal of Belgrave.
4. We welcome the proposal for a Privy Council and although
the Ruler regards it as premature you may at your discretion
continue to advise him to adopt it.
