The jellyfish is the only one with a dominant mobile phase

that is large enough for people to see and identify as an

animal.

Spongin is soft enough to allow these sponges to be used

as bath sponges.

• Sponges provide habitat for many other species.

• Coral appear to be large and hard, but these parts. are the

remains of past coral polyps. The live coral is a thin,

delicate layer on the top.

• Sediment pollution in water reduces the amount of

sunlight that gets through the water, which in tum

reduces the ability of symbiotic algae to produce food for

the corals.

• The class anthozoa is the only class without a medusa

form.

• Mutualism describes a situation in which two organisms

benefit by living together in a shared relationship.
