               • Corals provide habitat and resources to a huge diversity

of organisms living in coral reef ecosystems. The death

of the corals would eliminate the habitat and resources

for these species without providing them an alternative,

                   leading to their extinction.

               • Parasitic flatworms need to have a mechanism for

staying attached to their host. The hooks and suckers

                   allow them to do that.

               • Flame cells are part of the excretory system. They

contain cilia that sweep material out of the excretory

                   tubes.

               • As the proglottids of a tapeworm develop, older sections

pass out of the body of a host. These proglottids may fall

into vegetation or into a water supply. If consumed by

cattle or some other animal, the proglottids will start the

                   tapeworm cycle again.
