• Hookworms live in the moist soils of a tropical climate.
They burrow into the bottom of people's feet and travel
into the bloodstream.
• Worms and Mollusks
A heartworm is a filarial worm transmitted by mosquito
bites.
Trichinosis can be contracted by eating raw or
undercooked pork that has been infected with the larvae of
Trichinella.
Roundworms show many of these characteristics, Rotifers
have wheel-shaped structures around their mouths for
feeding and locomotion.
Since some nematodes are parasitic, they are used to kill
pests of humans and animals.
