A single surfer can’t turn the tide, or raise it with his sweat and tears.

When you’re fresh, they’ll pick your brains; later they’ll pick over your
        bones.

Revenge is the Caucasian face of a gorilla on a Tokyo zoo poster.

Noah’s family: going nowhere for 40 days. Extended family of
Israelites: going nowhere for 40 years. Post-ecospasm family of Man:
        going nowhere for 40 centuries.

and, as is well-known, the lesser-involved party in a relationship
        controls it.

Why bother going to extremes? They know where to find you.

The seekers of a new mousetrap beating a path to your door may be
trampled by the mice beating one from it.
