RADICAL LOVE
How we need to spend time feeding at the table of the Lord, where we
receive the flowing oil of the Holy Spirit to renew our minds and reveal
to us the loving nature of our Shepherd. We are in a season where the
Holy Spirit is calling us to eat and drink Jesus, so that we will be those
who can run with the horses and not just the footmen (see Jeremiah
12:5). It is time to be strengthened and equipped to stand, reverse, and
overcome the ever-increasing darkness encroaching upon the nations.
It is time to be overwhelmed by His lovingkindness and goodness. He
has a cup for each one of us—overflowing with the abundant life of
Christ.
It is time to be filled with the fullness of God to a perissos level. You
may be wondering what this word means... It is Greek for exceedingly,
abundantly, above all—beyond what is expected, imagined, or hoped
for.
I also want to bring attention to the fact that although the cup is running
over with abundant life, this does not mean that we will not encounter
suffering in our lives. Quite the opposite—because in order to partake
of the resurrection life of Christ, we will also have to share in the
fellowship of His sufferings. We cannot have one without the other.
There is a price to pay when we follow the Shepherd-King—but it is
worth it. The cup Jesus drank cost Him everything, but because He was
willing, the Church was born. “…for the joy set before Him, He
endured the cross and scorned its shame,…” (Hebrews 12:2).
