THE LIFE OF A TEENAGE GIRL
“Don’t worry, it’s gonna be fine. It’s just the first day. Once we
get used to it, we won’t even be worrying about it.”
“Alright. But! Just in case of anything, come to the bathroom in
ten minutes. You know I always want to check how you and the classes
are.”
“Okay.” She nodded.
Then we separated and went to our classes.
I took a deep breath again. In my class, we had Algebra, and since
I was new here, the teacher wanted me to introduce myself to the class.
No way! I hated that, especially when it had to be in public. It always
made me feel like I was about to have a panic attack. But I tried—and
I did it. I said hello, my name, age, and favorite subject.
“Well, thank you, Gigi. You can sit between those two girls in the
middle,” the teacher said.
When I sat down, the girls started whispering to me.
“I like your name—it’s giving… famous influencer,” the brunette-
looking Latina girl said.
“And I like your outfit,” the blonde girl added.
“Um, thanks. What are your names?” I asked.
“I’m Angelina, but I prefer Ange,” the brunette said.
“And I’m Faye,” the blonde added.
“Nice names,” I nodded.
