BETWEEN THE LANES
I quickly vanished out of the house before he could say or ask
anything.
When I arrived, I saw Travis in the shop and waved.
“Hey,” I said, sitting beside him.
“Hi. Did you bring the stuff?”
“Yeah.” I took out my notebook, pen, pencil, and the physics
book.
We didn’t say anything after that and went straight to doing the
project. Ever since Travis told me about the difference between our
bottles, I’ve understood the project about mass and gravity more. After
we wrote and studied about gravity and mass, we finally finished the
project. I sighed loudly and rested on the chair.
“Ah, finally, we’re done with this physics project,” Travis
uttered.
“Yeah, but I wasn’t expecting it to be so hard,” I said, looking at
him.
“Eh, for me, it was kinda like learning about cats and dogs.”
I chuckled. “Okay, funny guy, let’s rest a little bit before going into
jokes.”
But actually, I didn’t want to rest, because I just remembered the
main reason why I came here—to tell him about my feelings for him. I
sat up straight and changed my mood into a serious one.
“Uh, Travis… can I tell you something?”
He looked a bit confused when I said that. “Sure, what’s up?”
