CHAPTER 11
D
ear Diary, what if a normal French girl, who loves boyish
games and kind of has a boyish personality, has a big crush
on a cute, tall French boy? Well… as simple as it—and
obvious—it’s me. I just can’t stop loving how funny, kind, and smart
he is. But today, I’m gonna confess my feelings to him—to Travis.
We’re going to the coffee shop, and I know it’s a little too early
for that since we’ve only hung out for about two days, but… I have to.
I’m bold enough to tell him anyway.
I informed my dad that I was going to the coffee shop to finish my
school project, and when he heard me say a boy was doing it with me,
it felt like he was going to disagree.
“Wait, what do you mean a boy is doing it with you? Is he your
classmate?” he asked, confused.
“Yeah,” I replied, lacing my shoes. “Travis, the new kid—
remember him? We’re partners for the project.”
“Yes, but why can’t you just do it at school? Do you really have to
go to a coffee shop to finish it?”
I knew Dad could trust Travis. I hadn’t really told him about him,
but from the looks he gave me on the assistant-thing day, he kind of
found him cool—like me.
“Yes, Dad, don’t worry. I’ll be back before you know it. Love you,
bye!”
